Seriously, how lame am I? I'll tell you: I had a dream last night involving myself and Captain Jack Harkness, playboy of the Doctor Who universe, and there was not so much as a kiss on the cheek. All we did was talk. It was a very nice conversation, mind you, with friendly teasing and banter, and some discussion about The Doctor not spending as much time in the TARDIS because he's lonely and the memories there make him sad. (Apparently this takes place after Journey's End but before Eleventh Hour.)

The point is, I had this man in my dreams


and all I did was chat with him? What is wrong with my brain?

Set the Scene
Empty parking garages, roadside motels, dark caves, dank basements, overgrown forests—what kind of setting makes you feel nervous?

Driving across bridges that span bodies of water, like lakes or rivers, at night. The longer the bridge, the more creeped out I get.  In fact being anywhere near the water when it's dark out makes me shudder.

Our housing area had a grand opening for a playground they'd built, and they were giving away free raffle tickets to eveyone who showed up. They announced that they were goin to draw a number for the next prize, so I pulled out my ticket, even though there were tons of people there, and I never win anyway. I was absolutely shicked when they actually called my number! I won an adorable little green iPod Shuffle.  I never would have bought an iPod for myself, but now that I have one, I absolutely love it.

Happy birthday, Donald Duck! Which cartoon character do you think is the most disturbing?

That's awesome! I love Donald Duck. He's so much more entertaining than Mickey. I also prefer Daffy Duck over Bugs Bunny.  I cheer whenever that smug jerk rabbit gets his (too rare) comeuppance.

As for most disturbing cartoon character, I'd go with Frollo from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame. He's the worst kind of villain: the one who honestly believes that he's in the right, and everyone else is the villain. Plus hiding behind a guise of piousness  while you carry out your schemes is just creepy.

So, Jason is in Afghanistan, which sucks, but his unit has had some pretty cool visitors from the USO.



Here he is with Kim Possible and Even Stevens star Christy Carlson Romano and TV character actor Don McManus. Jason said that Ms Romano was very sweet and was very gracious when he told her that his family back home (including his wife) were big fans of the show Kim Possible.



He was very excited to meet President Palmer  himself, Mr Dennis Haysbert.  Not because he's a fan of 24, but because Mr Haysbert played Cerrano is one our all-time favorite movies, Major League. Jason was going to joke about someone stealing Jobu's rum, but someone beat him to it.

But by far, Jason's favorite visitor had to be:


Baseball legend Tommy Lasorda.  Jason is a huge baseball fan (he was going to get up at 4:30 am his time just to watch the first game of the season), so he's obviously geeking out of meeting Mr. Lasorda.

Who (or what) is your favorite fictional robot?

He would be deeply offended at my insinuation that he's a robot, but I'd have to say Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Futurama's Bender has his awesome moments, but he grates after a while. Futurama is populated with many cool robots, from Hedonism Bot ("I apologize for nothing!"), the Robot Devil, Evil Robot Santa to Calculon ("I was all of history's famous acting robots: Acting Unit 0.8, Thespomat, David Duchovny!").

Clothing Options
When it comes to clothes, would you rather be comfortable or fashionable?

Comfortable, no question about it. Sure I want everything to sort of go together, and to fit properly; but who needs to follow trends? I also hate spending too much on clothes. A hundred dollars should buy me several things to wear, not just one outfit (or one item!). It makes absolutely no sense, especially in this economy, to spend as much on shoes as you do on rent.

Um, hi there. I'm Jessica. I set up this account so that I could particiapte in different communities here. I don't really know what I'll end up writing here, but I felt like I have this thing, I might as well use it. I figure the most logical place to start is to tell a little about myself. I'm 33, married to an officer in the US Army (his name is Jason), mom to three boys, ages 8 (Michael) and twins who are 6 (Eric and Thomas). I am also an identical twin myself. I live in a little town 50 miles southeast of Dallas, Texas, called Mabank. I work part time as a subsitute teacher in Mabank public schools, which is the most awesome job I've ever had. Additionally, I help run Michael's Cub Scout Troop. Also I'm working on earning a Bachelor's Degree in English at an online school. I guess that's enough about boring little me. I'll be shocked if anyone reads this, but I'll post again one of these days.
